Catherine King, NP

Catherine King, APRN, is an experienced Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master’s in Nursing and received her certification as a Nurse Practitioner in 2002 from Ohio’s Otterbein University. After having an opportunity to manage diabetic patients with other chronic conditions, she was inspired to become a Certified Diabetes Educator, which she achieved in 2006. With this experience she educates and treats patients with diabetes, pre-diabetes and teaches diabetes prevention.
Catherine is also experienced with other chronic conditions including; congestive heart failure, lipid disorders and COPD. She believes that to treat a condition or offer advice, a relationship must first be established and that listening is vital for her to understand the patient’s condition. She is committed to working with each patient in managing their own health and formulates treatment plans that work best for the individual.
She and her family moved to Mesquite from Las Vegas in July of 2016. She had worked in the Las Vegas area for 4 years. Prior to living in Nevada, she worked in the state of Ohio as a Nurse Practitioner for more than 10 years.
