Fred Baldwin, PA-C is a Physician Assistant trained in Emergency and Family Medicine who has practiced in Wyoming for over 25 years.
A physician assistant-certified (PA-C) is a graduate of an accredited physician assistant educational program who has undergone testing by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Wyoming PA-C’s are state-licensed to practice medicine. A PA-C can treat virtually all family practice needs including diagnosing, ordering tests, prescribing, and referring to specialists, all ages with inclusion of health maintenance needs. They are trained to recognize health care needs that may require more specialized care and treatment. They receive training in interpreting labs, X-rays, EKG’s and many other diagnostic tests. Communication skills with patients of all ages is stressed in their training.
Fred has worked as a professional Firefighter in urban Wyoming as well as the USFS as a Helitak Firefighter. Fred is a Wyoming and Lincoln County Native and is very active in the Kemmerer community. In addition to caring for patients at Fossil Butte Medical Group, he is a State Senator for District 14 and have served in the Wyoming Legislature for 7 years. Fred is happily married with 5 children and 6 grandchildren. He and his wife own the Victory Theater in Kemmerer and he serves with the Kemmerer Volunteer Fire Department as an officer. He enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing and spending time with his horses, dogs, cats, and rabbit as well as the many wild animals that hang out at his property.
