Joseph Jeppson, DO

Joseph J. Jeppson, DO, was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT, and earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He then completed his internship and residency in Las Vegas, NV. Since then he has worked in a variety of settings including; primary care, occupational medicine and urgent care. Prior to coming to Mesquite he worked as a full time Hospitalist in Hawaii.
As a third generation physician, his family played a pivotal role in his career choice. Both his father and grandfather were physicians, giving him a lifetime of interaction with the medical field, although it wasn’t until he was on a mission in South America, that he became inspired to devote his life to medicine.
Dr. Jeppson relies on patients’ impressions and information to get a complete picture of their health condition in addition to test results. A firm believer in open communication between doctor and patient, he encourages feedback on how patients feel and what they are experiencing. Coupled with test data, this knowledge enables him to pursue the best possible outcomes for his patients.
