About The Provider
Kyle C. Kimbal, MD, is an experienced vascular surgeon, board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Kimbal is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Kimbal earned his medical degree from University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT. He went on to complete both an Internship and Residency in general surgery at Texas A&M Health Sciences in Temple, TX. He then completed a Fellowship in vascular surgery from Texas A&M Health Sciences, Scott and White Hospital, in Temple.
From a very young age growing up he was exposed to medicine through his mother, who was a nurse. “Seeing her work and hearing about the patients she cared for, sparked my interest early on,” said Dr. Kimbal. He was also exposed to handy work as his father was a building contractor. He eventually realized that surgery gave him the opportunity to combine those two influences.
“Vascular disease can be frightening and complex,” says Dr. Kimbal, “So I try to explain things to patients and their families in a way that is understandable.” His approach to patients is that they each have their own individual factors including their general health, goals and concerns. He believes in being straightforward with patients while providing a calm reassuring environment where they feel comfortable to participate in decisions about their care.
