Matthew Brockway, DO, IM

Matthew Brockway, DO, is an Internal Medicine physician serving both as hospitalist for Mesa View Regional Hospital and as a primary care physician at Mesa View Medical Group in Mesquite, Nevada.

After earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Utah Tech University in St. George, Utah, Dr. Brockway went on to study Medicine at the Rocky Vista School of Osteopathic Medicine in Ivins, Utah. There he received Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine after which he served an internship and completed his Internal Medicine residency program through the Sunrise GME Consortium at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Brockway became passionate about pursuing a career in medicine about half-way through Undergraduate studies during which time his father became seriously ill. He made the specialty choice of Internal Medicine since, in his words; “It provides for a broader range of care and deeper study into root causes of disease, allowing me to help patients manage more complex conditions.”

“My approach to quality patient care is to assume nothing,” says Dr. Brockway. “My philosophy is to meet patients with an open mind focused on listening, combined with careful observation. I can then utilize all this information to facilitate practicing good medicine. I also believe the best possible patient outcomes stem from an empathetic perspective, supporting their ultimate choices in all stages of life,” he concluded.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Brockway values spending time with his wife and family.Dr. Brockway is accepting new patients at Mesa View Medical Group. He is an independent member of the Mesa View Regional Hospital Medical Staff and is Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
